1 hour to update?!?!

The game is installed on a 5000 MBps read/write SSD, can somebody ezxplain why the hell is taking so long to apply a 1.6 GB patchs??? the disk usage goes up and down wtf

It also has to verify ~45GB of game data after the patch is installed. It's working as intended, it's just...unusually large compared to most games' verification steps.

Well nobody else is complaining about it, I find it strange, am I the only one around here who gives a s*** about the absurdity of it?? peaks at 15 MB/s....I mean...is it as intended?

Well Yes, but I can't be told that it works as intended because it means everybody has the same issue which is clearly not the case, I am more interested on why I got this problem...

I am also going through something similar. For me the update just stops at 100% and its been an hour and a half!

Sounds like you ppl have Windows Admin issue at apply patches

nah this update is giving me all sorts of issues that i've literally never had in my life.

My only issue was that i had 36GBs free and the update stopped due to lack of space, though it was only downloading a 3GB file. I deleted 1GB of garbage and game started updating.

same issue here i dont know if its validating the files at the slowest speed possible or what but hours on download after the 1.6gb udate

same issue , no trouble to redownload the whole game which I did during the night , came back today and same issue with the 13mb patch ...

Edit : managed to make it work , force closed steam , started it again , tried to move the game directory , said error writing file and then it proceeded to download without any issue when I started the download again
