EAC is a bad joke

Elden Ring is already full of cheaters who will soft-ban your account or put your character into an inescapable death loop.

Just remove it from the game. It does nothing to stop cheaters and is only good for wrecking performance and false flagging innocent players.

Cracked versions of Elden Ring that run without EAC show higher frame rates and better frame times than the non-cracked version.

It's yet another case where paying customers get the short end of the stick.

Yes. It's completely inescapable. Even if you force quit the game, you'll still be in the death loop when you reload. Only way out is to load a backup save.

yes, back up your save files. before pvping. or anytime you turn on the game

you are right, on client it does not stop cheaters, its real purpose is when the server says "bye, kick and ban this client" your client complies.

USE WE MOD TO FIX THIS!

If this happens to you, switch to offline. Install and launch the game through we mod. Before loading enable the first 2 god mode options (without premium you have to use their hotkeys num1 and num2). After loading your save the extra god mode will enable you to have about 4 seconds to open your map and teleport out.

DO NOT TOUCH ANY OTHER OPTIONS, then close the game. Reopen it through steam and you should be able to go back online without any soft ban.

I solved the problem by fast traveling and with the help of action buttons. 

Open the map immediately as the loading screen disappears, and then push the "Y" and after it the "A" button (if you are playing with an X-box controller). Confirm with "yes" and you are good. I had to try it at least three times until I was fast enough.

Death loop - F4 right before dying. On reload, press map, press Y and spam A and pray. It all must happen in a split second and you may be teleported out of it.
