How are people nowadays supposed to git gud if they play something like Skyrim?
I know I am - like I noted
Gamers can play whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they want and it doesn't make them lesser because of it. Get out of here with this mindset.
The problem is not that they are playing these games, dude, i own and played Skyrim too.
It is the problem that they dont read descriptions of items and THEN complain it doesnt work or dont know how to use it.
There was a discussion about the Cat Ring that didnt prevent fall DMG. The OP stated that the ring must be 100% bugged. Reality was , he didnt read description where it said that it negates fall DMG but doesnt protect from lethal falls.
Its not about my mindset, its about theirs.
I sincerely want to help new players and grow the fanbase, but it's difficult when some new folks just want ER to be a different game. I try to have some patience with them.
For the vets complaining about this or that change to the FromSoft formula, I have less patience.
My hope is things get better, since I know steam users come here often looking for help. They're frustrated and sometimes lashing out. I feel like it can lead to a downward spiral of toxicity with vets piling on and new users shutting down.
Except all enemies, animals, and the majority of NPCs outside of caves are invisible and I can't play the game until it's fixed. I'll gladly play the game when that happens.
- Solo invasions could be a thing again without the item, since they'd opt-in (or everyone else would opt-out)
- People who just want to play with their friends would no longer Alt+F4 because they'd no longer be invaded
But people don't want to hear it, they'd rather complain about the "normies" or "casuals" or whatever, to feel superior to "the masses".
