ELDEN RING

Godskin Duo: Beaten. Thanks for the great advice!
I am fighting these now, and finding that my dodges are often ignored. I tried changing the timing of dodging, but it seems like the skill has a persistence, that hits for a prolonged amount of time. I will be in the process of rolling and hit, taken out of the roll. The weapons that they use go through the pillars as well. Only some of their spells are stopped by them. Additionally, they have a lot of fast attacks, that seem to respond to what I do. Depending on how I attack, they change their pattern mid swing of another attack. I have not been hit by both attacks, but it still hits me with the new attack. The fat one's range is far further than his weapon. I get a rough estimate, that I need to be about 50 percent further away than the visual of his weapon, but it makes fighting him complicated and filled with guesswork.

I am sure that I am missing some vulnerability. At the moment, the only success I have found was focusing on the skinny one. I was able to drop them to 30 percent health at that point, but waiting on the fat one to summon the skinny seems finicky.

What am I missing in this fight? What is the vulnerability of the fat one, or is it just a smash-fest?

call it a cheese, im not so sure if it counts. but i mainly focused on the fat one and let my mimic tear go after the skinny one. Kill the fat one twice and clean up the skinny one and you should be good.

I used a greatshields summon to tank the hits of one while i was killing the other one.
Use the pillars. They exist for a reason. Wrap them around the pillars and leash the fat one. The fat one's sword thrust might go through the columns, but the skinny one's does not. You'll basically get a 1v1 for a few seconds. Rinse and repeat

I will try that. The fat one seems to have no limits and is the greater threat. The skinny one is more predictable and is more impacted by the barriers of the environment. This fight feels a bit gimmicky, trying to handle the two of them at once, with one not obeying the limits in the game.

Good call. That would help. I have very little fp, but the mimic I can summon without a problem, since it is health for payment. Just will have to heal potion quickly.

maybe this is helpfull
dont fight them evenly
they become "enraged" after a certain amount of damage taken
dont have them both enraged at the same time

That is great to know. I was working them both down at the same time, but focusing on one. This might be why it gets so insane at a certain point. I have one constantly putting blue flames around me, and spinning a blade like a fan, while the other is flopping on the ground, doing an aoe that impacts the entire map area. It is the flop that keeps staggering me, while dodging the skinny attacks.

yeah, makes it a bit more manageable BUT its still an insane boss fight if youre a melee character without status effects and not using fully upgraded legendary spirit ashes

Pretty much sums me up.
Victory! Thank you for the advice. I leveled up the mimic thing, and distract the skinny one. Beating the fat one was easy this way. It still was quite painful and took a few tries. However, once I was on a roll, it was smooth. Probably looked easy in my last fight, but was definitely tense and all about perfect timing.

Oh, and now the regular mobs past this fight are destroying me now. died four times before I could kill one. They gang up and all have their own timing of attacks. That and with limited space, I cannot dodge freely. Taking a break and will ponder this fight later. Never a moment to breathe in Elden Ring, lol.

He killed me so many times when he goes rollie-pollie mode.

if you keep struggeling with other boss fights mimic tear basically makes all the fights completly trivial. depending on build even more. this is a do it all solution for everything
