[spoilers] Can you give the potion to Dung Eater after his questline?

OK so I've heard you can give Seluvis's potion (which was originally intended for Nepheli) to the Dung Eater, but doing so will lock you out of getting his armorset and ending (but you get his ashes instead).

As I'm typing this, I already gotten the Fingerslayer Blade for Ranni but haven't delivered it to her yet, and from what I read Seluvis dies after I have over the blade to her. Also note that I missed Rya's necklace questline so Blackguard is now likely staying at his shack (and not giving me a seedbed curse) until I start a new playthrough. I wanna try getting as much of Dung Eater's stuff in my current playthrough.

Nop, you need to give him the potion while he is on the sewer gaol room sitting in the chair so you can get his ''ashes''

So I can't get the ashes and the armorset in the same playthrough then?

Ok so I decided to just give the Dung Eater the potion at first opportunity, and then immediately killed him when he was done talking. He dropped his armor set on the spot and the Dung Eater's ashes became available AFTER I handed the fingerslayer blade to Ranni. His shop for puppets option finally became available after that and you picked what freebie puppet you wanted first. Seluvis stayed alive until I went on the task to pick up the amber starlight, where I found him dead when I returned to him.

Darn. No Magic Scorpion Charm on this playthrough. Maybe it's because I got the blade too early?

Yep, you need to continue Seluvis questline until he ask you about a ''scheme''
