Should we have had Torrent upgrades for killing mounted bosses?

I would have liked some visual changes for my magic donkey. He's armorless and afraid. I feel like that upgrading Torrent was a missed opportunity. I'm not expecting a mobile tank, just able to take more than a hit or 2 before scampering back to the Shattering.

Or, just fashion souls. I’d like to cosmetic my pony

Maybe only melee weapons should get alternative horse attacks.

Oh. Haha. Hadn’t thought of that since I’m melee. I just hate when I’m on the ground, get a perfect roll/dodge around their attack and before I can get a swing off their horse jumps sideways into me. I usually feel bad killing animals in games but na.

Nah, no upgrades for your mighty horned steed. But perhaps some alternate skins would be fun. Also, I third getting Radahn's horse skin for Torrent. When I realized he was riding around on the worlds most messed up looking horse, I died laughing. It was great to watch this strange animal run around with that giant on his back.

I think with all the wildlife around, there should be a GTA-esque mount system where you can just run up to anything with four legs and, you know, have a go.

I always got off the horse to kill mounted bosses. Just easier. Torrent is for travel, not boss combat.

Have you taken a good look at him... ?

I was fine walking everywhere. But Torrent is a response to this game being open world but not a big feature since the bulk of the meaningful content you can't have him.
