it's not what causes the stutters tho
this game works 10 times better on dx 11 and without EAC this game doesn´t use any native dx 12 function you can complete the whole game using dx 11 and no EAC without issues the DX 12 seems to be a requirement of the EAC and not of the game wich is done only using DX11 like any other souls
dx12 causes teh stuttering but EAC can still have impact, we literally know this. Having some fixes that sort it out for oyu isgood tho! Hopefully there's a proper fix via patch before too long
People have used community fixes to disable anti-cheat & some tweaks that supposedly minimize or even eliminate stuttering. The game also does not stutter on Steam Deck because of some Valve-side tweaks that were done, so it's 110% possible for Fromsoftware to fix it.
We know DX12 is responsible for the stuttering because the same problem is exhibited in not only multiple other DX12 titles/apis but also because Microsoft literally warn developers about issues that arise if the developer side is not set up to work with 12 (because it is, afterall, the objectively better thing than DX11) and if they're not familiar with it to use DX11 but for whatever reason Fromsoft used DX12 (possibly for more security features, idk).
hm so like withoutt a steam deck myself you'll have to go off a small vid from the valve devs in https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2022/03/how-valve-made-steam-deck-the-first-pc-to-smoothly-run-elden-ring/ and DX12 having stuttering related to shader cache is...well it's been in games from Control to Fortnite and more. There are probably places more technical than I who could explain it better, i'm not exactly well versed in the tech lol just have a somehwat familitarity from adjacent fields of study
All claims and no proofs.
Here is a good tool to make framerate graphs.

Yes that's what I meant to say. But removing EAC alone from the equation (like with the .exe change) doesn't solve all the performance issues (from what I'm aware of). Hopefully we either get a fix or a swap to DX11 exe soon because it sucks & short of it being a really well optimized DX12 title there's no point to it.
Like I said, DX12 has caused perf issues in Fortnite and with that & EAC being Epic owned its pretty unlikely that they'd willingly sign up to an API where their own software would cause issues
So you disabled both the anti-cheat and the multiplayer simultaneously but you're certain it's the anti-cheat. Hmm.....
