Really woahhhh who would've guessed
When I searched Keyboard vs Controller I read alot of post saying that if you get used to playing on a keyboard it is the better way to play. But it is not true.
Circling around enemies on a controller has more precision. For example, the first phase of Crucible Knight, when on a controller you can easily get him to second phase circling around him which evades most of his attacks and lets you get in alot of easy attacks
But with Keyboard you can't circle around him the same way.
Dodge rolling behind enemies also become more limited as you only have 8 directions of movement. Some plays like dodge rolling behind an enemy to backstab requires more time to execute, as you would have to position yourself in the perfect spot.
Besides that, the controls were made for controllers. Special attack on keyboard requires you to hold shift and left click. Whereas on controller it is only a single button.
There are probably more examples, but I just wanted to bring the topic up because there is alot of misinformation about the topic.
If you are not locked on to the enemy you can use the camera but than what's the point of locking on?
It's not a game dedicated for KB/M
Office kbm set is definitely not too good.
However with gaming set it is better on kbm.
You lose a bit on the BS fishing, but that is not a big thing in ER (was more impactfull in DS3, but even there all you need is 22.5 degrees camera rotation to roll in any arbitrary direction with kbm).
But you gain on the custom button mapping, camera controls and duplication of buttons for faster combos and swaps.
Who plays like that? You sure you really tried kbm at all?
You don't exactly need to do 360 movements with how lock on works though?
KBM designs would be things like:
* being able to assign individual keys to things like... two-handing an armament, quick pouch items / item slots / spells (1...0)
* being able to assign mice that have more than 3 buttons
And the KBM not being just a controller emulator.
BTW, controller have much more sensors than KB/M.
