ELDEN RING
Two handing lowering stat requirements
Hello,

I know that if you go to equip something with not enough stats to use it, it sometimes say's "you need to use both hands to properly use this weapon" or something like that.

I noticed it on a big hammer I had, so I have two questions and I looked online and could not find any information.

1) Is this two hand to use it with not enough stats restricted to huge / heavy weapons?

2) how many stats below the amount required to use it do you need to properly use it with two hands with less stats than it states?

Thank you for any help you may give :)

2-handing raises your effective strength by 50%, rounded down. So, if you have 13 strength you can wield a weapon that requires 19 strength by 2-handing it. It also scales up your damage based on strength scaling accordingly, and I believe it may also affect the amount of posture damage done by your attacks.

This does not affect any other stat requirement besides strength.
two handing a weapon multiplies your strength stat by 1.5, this does NOT apply for dex. so this way you can use strength weapons that you normally wouldn't meet the stat requirement for if you were using them one-handed.

Thank you! I was going to do the two handed thing for a dex build on a new character, saved me from wasting all that time!
