But they do get waaaay to easy.
Summoning other players (not npcs) is akin to cheating, yes, but it's there if people want to play with their friends or whatever
No matter what limitations you put on yourself, there will always be someone who says you did is less legitimately than them. If you want to summon spirits, summon spirits and don't let anyone lessen your enjoyment of the game. If you feel it's cheating, then don't do it. It's really that simple.
They are in the game. If that's how you want to play, nobody should stop you (the game doesn't, after all). But if you're seeking the challenge that these games or known for, you shouldn't summon or use the handful of ash of wars that are incredibly powerful
Or if you meant the offline spirit summons, then yes those make the game significantly easier too.
However spirits, npc summons, items that can disable/debuff them are there for a reason.
though some npc summons may need their questline to be completed before you can use them on the boss area.
It's a bit funny seeing other players struggle and just spouting rage topics about this and that but never look for a way to lessen the difficulty :3
