Co-op disconnects. Any ideas?

I can't find anything that says From is aware of the problem, but it's been terrible. After roughly 2-3 minutes of joining a session the game the collapses. There are certain times where things seem stable, and times where they aren't. And usually, it seems as though the high game traffic periods are the times when everything is unstable.

Anybody found a way to deal with this? I assume not everyone is having this problem, but I've seen it since launch.

I get the same issue, as well as sometimes crashes during co-op only.

sometimes every single attempt of the same boss will have the same player disconnect around the same point in the fight. usually restarting the game clients fixes it and allows us to get through on the next try. That's about all you can do though, this game drops a stable connection with no warning at the first sign of any hiccup it seems.

At least you can join other players. I always get an error message when trying to get summoned or when i try to summon someone.

If unable to summon- someone else already summoned them before you did. This game has terrible connection issues.

same issue here. some dungeons buddy and i just had to solo because you'd either not connect, or lose connection right before or partway through boss fight. really kills it trying to play game with friends.

I'm not sure why the forums aren't blowing up about this. Everybody RL person I know that plays this has run into the same problems.

it's fixed for me now. happened to me and two buddies, even when we all co-oped randomly to diagnose who was having the issue. cleared up all at once for all 3 of us

I was about to open a thread for the same topic. I experience many DC's. I even checked my connection 3 times now and I have zero interrupts.

Yea, i'm mostly playing with a friend, and almost every time we get invaded, the invader's character stops moving, then gets DC. It's just not fun

I also got SEVERAL " unable to summon " when i tried to summon random people in front of bosses, up to 10 players unable to be summoned in a row.

Lately, my friend was able to see trough the map, I went on the elevator and he went trough, then his loading screen never ended so he restarted and .. Boom : Temporarily banned from CO-OP for x hours / days.

During low traffic periods it seems better. I imagine it'll go back to not working for you soon enough.

funny thing is you can get a co op ban for something you have no control over, i dont alt f4 but i got 2 co op bans so far thanks to DCs

I know this may sound crazy, but until further research this seems to work just fine for me.
It turns out if I'm not logged in into the friend chat It will give me this issue. Connecting to steam chat and rebooting the game did the trick.
Maybe the solution was just re-launching the game. But since I connect to the game with Steam chat online there were no issues.
Is this something you do too?, playing with the steam chat offline?

nope mine is always online like i have many friends on steam lol
