Ranni's Dark Moon Spell possible bug?

Been looking for the turtles around chelona's rise, only found the one hanging from the ledge the others are non-existent. Is this a known bug, anybody else encountered it?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, unlike all the rest the turtles aren't all near the tower.

They're spread across the entire zone. And as far as possible from each other for the most part.

yep i checked up their spots, i was where they were supposed to be
interacting with the book twice, spawned just one of them near the far cliff and killing that one somehow unlocked the door
so it was actually kinda bugged

this quests seems to be kinda buggy sometimes you can just kill them while invisible sometimes you only need to kill one or two it's very strange

The book effect that makes them visible seems to only last a certain amount of time. I had to go back and interact with the book to make them visible again and finish.

Just go for the third one if you don't see the second one.

This is precisely what happens... I managed to throw myself off the cliff whilst dispatching the first near the tower... died. No tortoise after that until I actually read the book again. Hooray and thank you! :)

This is actually wrong, though you did try to help. It isn't that the book is making them "visible" because they have limited visibility but simply respawning them. These particular turtles are glitched and the east most one is very prone to just "dying" on its own spontaneously... At least one other turtle is reported to on occasion die, too. Thus, if you can't find it in its spot you should check the door to see if it is open if you somehow didn't notice the message in the middle of the screen (which is a thing, because people have admitted to spending literally 1-2 hours looking only to go back and find the door was already open much to their unfortunate embarrassment). Warping and resting can cause them to respawn, btw.
