Is Radagon's Scarseal worth it?
Basically title. Does stat increases outweigh's -10% defence reduction? If I remember, Prisoner's Chain in DS3 was worth it but not sure about here.

Soreseal is better.
But yes, it's definitely worth it.

I run Soreseal regardless of build

Both are worth it. The increased damage is mitigated by the boost in Vigor. You might be able to take 1 less hit because of that 10% but the stat boost is more than worth it.

Scarseal and Soreseal are both worth it. The extra HP will more or less compensate for the increased damage taken

It's most def worth early-mid game. I have taken it off late game because I feel the damage trade off vs the vigor soft cap and what not on top of how much more damage they do late game doesn't do it enough for me to want to keep it on. Just my opinion.

the damage taken isn't a huge deal

This is where I landed on it as well.

Early on, those things are huge bonuses. Later as you start hitting softcaps, it's rarely worth it since everything hits like a dumptruck as it is and doing 10-20 more damage to dudes with 20k health doesn't mean as much as being able to take an extra hit.

Radagon's soreseal is useful for low-lvl builds only imo. Marika's soreseal is much more beneficial for a ton of free FP. Their defense reduction might seem low, but from my experience unequipping soreseals made me tank a lot more dmg, like from being dead in 2 hits to being able to survive 4-5 hits at least

I used the soreseal til the end, the damage taken wasn't really noticeable

Have you tried running with and without it? Huge damage difference imo

I mostly want to use it for extra weight as I plan to build pure strength tank character with heavy armor lol.

early on yeah. it boosts your HP so the defense loss is basically a wash, and other stats are great. Later on I had other talismans I wanted to use.
Juub Mar 13, 2022 @ 7:15am
The danger is hitting softcaps. If you go past the Vigor softcap (of 40), it won't be worth the additional damage taken. However, if your base vigor is say 30 and goes to 35-40 with the talisman, then it's worth it.

no but I never spent more than about half hour to an hour per boss, and I've killed every boss
