not impossible.. and honestly.. they should be calles Dragon knights since they have a lot of abilitys that look like something dragons would use

I meet one at the start of the game, I can parry him perfectly until half the boss HP. But the second phase wasn't worth the time spent on it when I could explore the game world.

May be I should try him again.

It sure as ♥♥♥♥ is impossible for me. I cannot beat the boss, or even the regular version in the castle

yeah his design is pretty cheap, forcing you into a specific build due to his nonstop barrage of attacks. either gotto be overpowered, or just parry him to death.
ive put him on hold until i can one hand my golden halberd so i can parry him

oh your doing the geol one? yeah he can be rough but not impossible.. learning his attacks on the first half of his hp is easy enough but the one after that .. its rough but doable

Yeah I quess. Shame that I never use parries so/because I suck at it. trying to kill this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with 2 handed strenght build is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. Constant attack spam and no stagger. I am currently trying to find pieces of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ controller

most shields seem to have a little delay but aparently theres a tiny buckler that can do it instantly

This is complete nonsense. Crucible Knights have a very basic moveset. You can dodge-roll through everything, and you can roll punish every single one of his combos.

I have done this with a UGS, so saying you can't do it with a 2-h Strength build is just false. You just need to learn his moves better.

Lol. They have slow as easy moves. Wait until you meet some of the other bosses.
DAWN OF THE DEAD Mar 13, 2022 @ 5:50am
i used his few openings, one is after his thrust attack its good time for flask, another opening after his shield attack it can be tricky to dodge at first tho it actually isn't hard just don't panic roll. Another good opening is after his ground stomp he sometimes does 1-2 hits and some times longer combo, mostly baited by rolling to his right side. So if he does his longer combo another safe opening.

In second phase its actually very easy to bait his tail attack, be on his ass and try roll right side behind him, he when will try attack with tail you roll again and you have opening.

Something like that if i remember correctly. I also used str greatsword build

u definitely cannot roll punish him starting phase 2 in the gaol fight lol, he will just insta dragon tail you or jump up with wings

edit: he kinda reminds me of a buffed up Fume knight ai, thats probably why im also struggling with him. he was the hardest souls boss for me

I haven't had too much trouble with crucible knights either, and I've used halberds which are a big compromise between poise damage and attack recovery. Most of crucible knight's attacks are quite intuitive to dodge and consistent. You just have to read the knights better. If your reflexes aren't very sharp then you'll have to memorize the boss's moveset and try your best with what RNG you're given. Mixups in this game are much more prominent than previous titles.

it's not that hard to kill them with melee by just waiting for openings. they'll stomp you if you try to unga bunga them, but that approach is something the game punishes hard everywhere

._. Yes, you can. And his winged charge is the best attack to punish, you just roll towards where he will land. It has a long recovery.
