What's the best summon other than the Mimic?

So I've got this thing to +10 and it's literally me, but better lol. Kinda makes a lot of the boss fights trivial so I'm probably gonna shelve it honestly. What would be a good alternative? I've got enough Glovewort to get another +10 I'm just not sure what's worth investing into.

If you haven't faced Rykard yet, my advice would be to summon Tiche and not feel bad about it. Not even a little bit.

It's not about being hard, it's about being boring, somewhat gimmicky and having like 70+k health for no reason.

Why Rykard in particular? That fight basically boils down to "ensure you have enough fp/cerulean tear flasks to keeps spamming the serpent hunter weapon art until the boss is dead" because you can effectively stunlock him.

Honestly the best one hands down especially on mid to end game bosses because of their incredible percent based debuff.

Yeah because its a special summon. If you throw garbo stuff on the mimic it ain't that great >.<
Of course if you run a hoarfroststumping mimic its godly ...
And since its so difference its hard to judge thats why they hold it back a bit.

You can, but I really didn't want to do that. I don't think it's unreasonable to not want to use a particular weapon the game insists on. I feel like it's going against the whole aspect of making your own build. I didn't want that spear, I wanted to use my twinblade. Going melee on that guy makes for an incredibly boring fight. And from a friend of mine I know that going with sorceries makes for a bad experience too.

Usually, every boss fight gives you the chance to use it.
Only evergaols do not allow you to summon and some open world bosses you have to fight without it.

All other bosses let you summon them.

I just realized I was missing it on bosses because I usually had the co-op detector on (I thought it was only if you had someone summoned that it took away the spirit ash gravestone)... but I'm still not getting it in places like the mage tower, or cave/tunnels, etc...
