I am regretting being a mage

I am getting more end more frustrated, especially during boss fights. I do little to no damage, the sorceries are boring, I keep putting points into intelligence using the meteorite staff but it is still underwhelming. I am thinking in using a larvar tear and re-espec my character into a boring all strengh character and be done with it.

Maybe Im missing something that could change my opinion? On top of that there are some sorceries that have a crazily high intelligent requisite, I have to put points into other attributes to make the character viable, not everything into intelligence, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

you if you play a propper bleed build or Auto Bleed build not a single caster can out dps it sorry.
Bleed still stays the strongest damage in the game so far

Casters can one shot every boss.

Nothing in the game does more damage than caster, if equipped and build properly.

dude, if Magic is boring, melee is boring, then why are you playing a game where combat is boring??? If you don't enjoy it then please find a better game cause you don't want to waste your life playing something boring..

Eh, magic is definitley op but I was able to melt some of the hardest bosses in NG+4 with dual katana with one infused with frost. Bleed is just broken version of frost and I stand by that and with both they are the best and most broken thing in the game. Magic is simply broken and unfun.

As i understand it, mage has always been easy mode in every Souls game, maybe DS2 was a bit less OP, but i remember DS1 mage build was insane...

I have not played as a mage in Elden Ring yet, but it looks like its easy mode again. Just the fact that you dont need to be close to the enemy to hurt him is OP.

DEmons Souls most op, DS1 very op, DS2 was pretty fair imo, DS3 it was garbage, Elden Ring back to very op leaning toward most op.

Yes, magic is weak, let's ignore that I literally ONE SHOT TWO DRAGONS SIMILTANEOUSLY without using any magic buffing spells or gear beyond my fancy flask.

The lazer is fancy, but calling down the freaking apocalypse in the form of a meteor shower for over 10 seconds is next level crazy.

I didn't even want to play a mage and still don't, I wanted to be a swordsman who can throw out a handful of spells also, this obscenity was by accident and a side effect, I'd never played a souls game before, I just explored alot.

I am like level 180 odd though, but could of pulled off the same trick at lvl 70 ish technically if I was good enough not to need a ton of health / stamina and didn't want to just be a pure caster.

0k, I Have found the Moonveil sword and things are getting better, but I get out of mana very quickly. Where can I find somber smithing stones for the katana?

magic is boring sure..
But its so massively strong, it really makes the game easy mode...

Heck, me who sucks at this kind of games just welcomes it but at the same time not bcoz it makes it too easy...

just rock sling and comet azur deletes the enemies.
3 casts of rock slings just staggers the bosses while dealing massive dmg..
And if you pair wondreous physics flask with the "no fp cost tear" oh boy..
And if you do get ranni's dark moon, you can do even more dmg bcoz the spell inflict frostbite and also negate 30% of their magic dmg resist for 60 sec..

But you are also kinda forced to use a spirit as sorcerer otherwise you might not even have time to cast a spell..
