the unfair part comes when the u kill the skinny apostole ,and the fat guy just summons another one ,my tactic is to kill the skinny always to avoid dealing with the fatty's phase 2 one shotter attacks ,but both move at about the same speed and the fat guy delives massive damage from off screen effectively covering all openings to attack the skinny apostole ,l know it's a get gud scenario but the fight simply feels too unbalanced ,l don't use summons by the way because l didn't speak to Ranni at the begining therefore l have no way of summoning and coop is out of the question for me in soulsborne games ,any tips?

I completely agree with most of this and after beating the fight I didn't even feel accomplished by my skill, just relieved it was over. However, there's a few things to make this fight more bearable. You want to make sure that you are at least at 40 Vig, I do not recommend using online as the other players will likely die just as fast as you do. There is a particularly strong summon in the game that I'm sure you already are aware of; if you use it, this boss is very simple to fight. When the Noble starts rolling, you can run behind a pillar and when he knocks it, it will leave a surface you can stand on for some free hits if you space yourself carefully. This fight, like nearly other fight in the game against a major boss, is significantly easier when using the smaller and faster Dex weapons. In my first playthrough with a colossal weapon, everything that could be staggered was boringly easy and everything that couldn't just became a DPS check. Power stancing bleed katanas seems to be one of the strongest builds in the game at the moment.

U can buy the summoning item at the roundtable from the bell merchant, the 2 old ones. Mimic helps if u care to use summons then u deal with one each.

Godskin Duo is the worst boss in the entire series. You're not alone in thinking it's unfair, that's because it is. Both bosses are instantly fast and blend their attacks together, giving the player little to no openings without being punished.

As for summons, if you miss Ranni, you can buy the bell at the Two Maidens in the Roundtable Hold.

Maybe invest more in VIG and stop just pumping INT. And you can buy the summoning bell. If you are not summoning, then you are not utilizing more mechanics to make the fight "fair".

Godskin duo is pure CBT solo, but it's plain as day that you're meant to summon with spirit ashes. With mimic it's a complete joke. Now, Maliketh is another story, Malenia as well. These bosses have moves where they just decide you die now. Ain't much you can do about it except pray you can kill them faster than they can pull them off.

l use the crystal sword ,l'm level 124 knight class ,l'm no stranger to soulsborne but like l said before l have no summons since l missed talking to Ranni at the begining which means l have no summon bell

I think this is less a git gud scenario and more, "Do you have an overpowered build?" And if you do, you theoretically have the muscle to clear the rest of the game and kick its teeth in.

Unfortunately, I did not have one such overpowered build or even summons that could last longer than 30 seconds. And since it was a mostly blind playthrough, I was stubborn.

I ended up using the pillars to gradually split the duo up, even after the pillars were destroyed. And then I continued to melee the lanky one.

The godskin duo continues to remain among the top 3 most boss deaths in Elden Rings for me. And they did sap my altholic desire a bit with the thought I'd have to face them again (albeit, next time, would be with Mimic Tear / bleeding build / Hoarfrost Stomp / other crap depending).

You can get the summoning bell by visiting the Church of Elleh Site of Grace – where you met the first merchant, Kale at night time. A witch will appear and give you the bell and the wolf summons to you.

just use ash summons and a bleed weapon. your summon will probably die before the fight is over, but it should carry you far enough to be able to finish the fight off relatively quickly. skinny guy has less health and is much easier when powered up compared to fatty. what I did was let my summons distract the fat guy and kill the apostle, then gank the fat guy with my summons, and then try to finish off the resummoned skinny guy before the fat one showed up again

they have a combined healthpool that exceeds their own life span
IE. if you were in a fight with 2 summoned people, you could kill them both 2 times and they would still keep respawning

i killed them like 2nd try with some skeletal militia men, have fun

Kill lengthy man second, then tubby respawns and kill him again.
