valkyrie's prosthesis is gone

I picked up the valkyrie's prosthesis on my first run through of the shaded castle, and didn't think much of it. When I went to progress the millicent questline, however, the item was not in my inventory. I went to go check out the items spawn location, but it was not there. I can not progress the questline because the item is completely gone. Anyone have any ideas?

No, I checked in all my storages and it wasn't there

The same thing happened to me, in basically the exact same way. I'm guessing it's a bug and we're boned.

Wait, I'm pretty sure this happened to me too. I picked it up at the shaded castle and now it's not in my inventory

Same here. I had picked up prosthesis at the shaded castle before began the Valkyrie questline. Milicent stayed on the cliff of altus never getting the prosthesis.

Still happens in current patch; NG+2

edit: given the dialogue ("if the arm serves well enough..."), it's possible I might have given it; though I do not recall the prompt.... Will have to advance and see...
