HUGE fps drops each 15 mins
Hi
I'm running it on my system at 9900K, nvme SSD, 32 gig ram, 1080ti. Playing around 50 fps - sometimes 40, sometimes close to 55, everything fine. But after some time I get HUGE stuttering/fps drops to 15, sometimes even just 5 fps. This stays until I completely reboot my game, not just reload the save game. This happend since I first started the game, I tried several guides to solve this problem, but it still stays and is annoying asf. When I reload again, it is working just normal so the area in the game should not be the problem. My last game was Horizon zero dawn for 50h whithout a problem.
Do you habe any clues? Does anyone has a similar problem?

Performance in this game is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes you'll launch it and it's a great, smooth experience. Other times it's dropping frames all over the place. Whether it's a function of networking, EAC, some goofy engine thing, or a combination of all three, FromSoft really needs to get on it.

it's just like so regular, it never comes after 10 min, but 15-20 seems the right time. Sometimes when I Alt+F4 (faster for restart than the regular way) the anti cheat engine mentions my objectdock app-bar. I tried deactivating it and hiding the problematic(?) file, problem stays...

m.2 slot or PCI express x4 SSD ? i had stuttering problems with onboard m.2 at a rig of a rich friend pci express solved it. sadly i will never have a rig that can rund this game smooth, i donot spend 10K or more euros for a computer to only run one game.

Gonna take em some time to fix this, Fromsoft aren't great when it comes to the pc versions.

On my end it feels like half the time an enemy starts an attack the game freezes for a few seconds and I end up getting hit before I can react. Happened multiple times now against different enemies.

I am on ryzen 3600, rtx 3070, installed ona samsung nvme drive.

i don't think there will come any fixes in the future. The core problem is the use of dx12 only commands and they never go back to dx11 to fix them. The most problem all guys have came from the usage of the unique commands of dx12, the guys that use the steam desk (linux) have a API that convert the dx12 commands to commands that solve the problems, in the next weeks i will try to get the game running on linux, to test if the problems get solved there by the conversation API because i do not trust this steam deck user review, they are all streamers and testers mit hardware not many can buy because it is very very expensive.

I guess you gotta restart every 14minutes then :^)
Game cannot properly utilize PC hardware it seems so far, and steam forums can't help with that - only performance patches can.

how you want to patch a maximum optimized emulator ? it is impossible to do that.

Thanks for your answers! :) At least I am not alone - haha, and I thought the
difficulty level is the main issue (not used to controller setup at all). After 10h the
difficulty is not such an issue...

Yeah idk about the difficulty so far. I know a lot of folks seemed to struggle with the big guy in that first camp with soldiers, I killed him first try in less than 30 minutes of starting the game. Makes me wonder if everyone is just bad at the start or if the halberd is secretly OP.

What programs do you have running in the background?

Seems more like a software conflict than a hardware issue.
