not looking forward to the duo fight, however
I beat the duo fight, its arguably the worst double boss fight created
(I also like them because I am going dex faith, and all the godslayer stuff is dex/faith so pog)
The skinny one has a very simple to handle moveset once you get the timing right. His windows in phase 1 are more obvious and he basically dies as soon as he does his stretchy windmill attack in phase 2 and you can just roll through it and get 5 attacks off on his ass for free.
Later fight spoilers:
Highly recommend just ignoring the fat one the entire time in the duo fight, never push him into phase 2 or you are gonna suffer. It is so much easier to just kill the scrawny one repeatedly till the fight is over, it's not that hard of a fight at all that way.
I haven't fought the duo yet, but I saw someone bait fatty's roll, get him to roll into the pillar, the pillar broke, then they just cheese him by hopping up on the pillar and poking him to death as he rolled forever.
See, both the Apostle and Noble have pretty creative movesets, the Noble using his lardy ass to murder you and the Apostle having trained at the Dhalsim school of yoga.
But these fights made me understand what other players were talking about when they were complaning about input reading: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this is cheap. Every time you try to heal up, they will throw a fireball at you, taking away half the health you just gained back. This is super-bad design, which is a shame, because other than that, they're really cool.
Not faced both of them as a duo yet, which sounds really overtuned, so that's an entirely different debate.
