Claymore or Uchigatana Quality Build?
I'm nearing 40/40 my claymore is +11 and my uchigatana is +6 wondering if I should keep putting runes into the claymore or switch back to the uchigatana.

Uchigatana cause bleed if you want functional. Claymore if you want cool looking.

There are places in the game where the charged double R2 poke of the claymore makes short work of staggering and breaking heavy enemy guards.

Using a uchigatana or other katana doesn't have the same stagger. I agree with Meltia's suggestion to use both for different conditions.

You'll probably want both, but I can't think of anything the claymore can do better than the Uchi. Besides look better...

I have not used the uchigatana much, but for the heavier enemies, the claymore easily poise breaks them with nearly every swing. The R2 pokes are extremely useful as well.

While using a katana, I have to roll more against enemies that poise through my katana attacks while using a claymore just allows the R1 spam. Not all enemies are the same and some enemies and bosses I prefer a katana. Having both is preferable.

I can confirm my claymore quality build is insane. I'm trying out blood scaling with Seppuku and the Lord of Bloods Medallion, big damage and bleed

OMG both!! I've used both of them weapons in tandem in all souls games. It's a very "standard" weapon swap for a quality build for me.
