moonviel only has even halfway decent damage with heavy stat investment. you make it sound like people are rocking it with base stats and nuking things. it literally hits for 100 damage at base stats. by the time you have enough stats to have it deal heavy damage, you can be firing off spells that do much much more.
Claymore lightyears ahead of the katana? I'd like to see it. I tried a bunch of arts on a claymore and a couple did a litte more damage than transient moonblade but not enough to justify how much slower the claymore abilities are.
The moonveil is fine. Everything in this game one shots in PvP anyways, so there's no point in complaining about being one-tapped when you one-tap yourself.
I would love to be able to use Ashes of something (The summons) in PvP, as joining a 3v1 where literally everything one shots you isn't really that fun. I know you're not supposed to win every invasion, but holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ calm down.
Don't ask me for the names of the things I mentioned, as I'm really old-fashioned: Grace? Nah, bonefire. Runes? Nah, souls. Ash of War? Nah, Weapon Art.
Frankly, Uchi with Hoarfrost Stomp is probably equally good and better in certain scenarios.
