[END-GAME SPOILER] Need to know if I am fighting the FINAL boss?
I am currently at the boss fight with Radagon and phase 2 is the Elden Beast which I am having trouble killing.. Is this actually the final boss?

Because I still have parts of the map unexplored and I am pretty sure some bosses name that I have heard before I have not encountered yet.

Should I explore everything else before coming back to attempt Elden Beast? My concern is will killing Elden Beast end the game and lock me out from stuff I haven't do yet?

The optional areas are more difficult (moreso than the Femmegon/Elden Beast).
Beat the end bosses first then go to the optional areas imo.

After you defeat the Elder Beast (and after end credits) you get the choice to continue with New Game+. Decline starting with New Game+ and you can still roam the world in your current run and fight bosses you haven't defeated yet. If you want to start with New Game+ after that, I think you have to go somewhere at the the round table.

Yes he is, no nothing will change after you beat him as far as i know except for MAYBE Renna, the blue lady that gave you the summoning bell, her quest might be unavailable to finish haven't checked though. The biggest turning point imo is when you kill Maliketh, Lendeyl gets covered in ash and that locks some stuff off but nothing changes after the final boss to my knowledge. Obviously if you want to do the final boss last for the thematic value then go ahead. There is 1 area and boss that I and most people would consider significantly harder (secret end game boss type stuff). Last boss gives good faith stuff so maybe you want to get them and do it with ur maxed build or whatever hope this helps.

Probably didn't beat the demi god's since some are hidden or require questlines. Do questlines and talk to the guy by the fireplace in roundtable and he'll tell you if you have anything more to do story related. If he says nothing to you then you're done for the most part

I am on the Elden beast and pretty much beat all optional bosses.. I can say without a doubt that this boss is harder than all of them (Malenia was a breeze compared to this). I have fought it at least 30 times, and I'm level 139. If I'm lucky enough to get to the Elder Beast, which isn't too too difficult, i never get it below half.... as a matter of fact, out of the 20 times (prolly more, im guessing, been trying for 3 days) or so that I have got to him, most of the time i can't get him below 75%. I've tried 3 different builds, faith with the Blasphemous blade, strength with the ruin greatsword, sorcery, and no matter what, he kills me. Usually it takes my mimic out pretty quick. This boss is probably the end of my Elden Ring run.

I find nothing fun about trying to learn bosses that are hidden behind other bosses that you have to kill over and over again just to get to. This and the Radahn fight were obviously designed when they were all drunk on a saturday night.

Elden Beast is like 75% resistant to Holy, Magic and Bleed iirc. Maybe why you are having a bad time. But keep at it! You are 1 boss away from the end :praisesun:

May I suggest Hoarfrost Stomp?? Spam it and delete that jerk!

Ah no wonder I couldn't beat him with my bleed + scarlet rot weapon initially. This boss seem to be immune to every status effects.

I have managed to beat it regardless by spamming bloody slash but it was a real close match!

I guess it's time to build a back-up weapon. I want to keep a bunch of weapons with different damage types like slash/pierce/blunt as well.
