For example, the uchi costs 0 to start, which is sheathing it to prepare, then when you press light attack it subtracts the cost on the left of the brackets. But if you press heavy attack it plays a different animation and costs the amount on the right of the bracket.
I don't think anyone has made a hard breakdown on how poise is affected, just note that, as a rule of thumb, the slower a weapon's attack is the more poise damage it deals. It has nothing to do with damage numbers.
The longer you charge an attack for, the more charge damage it does, up to 1.5X damage.
2handing a weapon, provided you meet the stats to use it in the first place, multiplies damage by 1.5X
Weapon scaling if affected by scaling grade, the little letters next to a weapon's stat requirement, and there's a very complex mathmatic formula that goes into calculating it's bonus, so simply put, get a better letter grade, get better numbers.
