Late game needs rebalanced.
First zone was good, 2nd one also, the red desert place started getting a little rough, but then Atlus and mountain top of giants, Miqeulla’s Halligtree ect are so unbalanced.

Level 117 I'm no Spartan though 40 vigor 80 intel and rest in mind some dex to 20. Doesn't mater what armor I use still 1-2 shots depending on enemy. Did no one play test these zones?

Since Atlus its best just to run to faith spots and bee line to the boss as the enemies are over scaled. I feel weaker now than when I did in the prologue Not sure how a RPG can manage this lol.

Currently stuck on the BS that is Melenia and fire giant 1 shots are great design :P

On my first playtrough game kept getting easier and easier, with last boss beeing cakewalk. I had strenght build with 2 colossal hammers. Dunno, either something wrong with int build, or with your build.

Nah it's that some areas are overtuned - Haligtree being the most annoying - where normal trash enemies will kill you with 1-2 hits if you play with 40 vigor + have strong armor.
Maybe it's supposed to be the highest end game secret area thats super tough but imo it just sucks and I won't return there after clearing it once / run to each bonfire and kill the two bosses.
Haligtree seems like it's on the lines of "difficult because we give each enemy tons of hp, tons of dmg, super fast attack moves, groups of enemies, you face one enemy but they trigger a whole group".
Not even talking about the boss Malenia, Blade of Miquella... super easy to beat if you use a certain playstyle horrible if you use anything else...

*Edit + Spoiler for Malenia if you want to kill Malenia get Rivers of Blood, dual equip with a katana with bleed + blood enchant, summon your mimic and just spam special attack to trigger her all the time to get through p1 without a problem.

Don’t be greedy maybe?

I rushed through the end game because I was getting bored. The only area that stood out to me in terms of difficulty was Haligtree, but then I'm sure if I took my time it wouldn't have been that bad.

Seems random if she argos mimic or me though when I get her to 50% and the mimic is full health she does her 1 shot death move no matter how I roll or how far I get away shes there :P

+10 staff to boot lol Spells suck outside of rock sling, Comet Azur, the magic sword and the cleave spell, rest hit for nothing.
I found them fine

i have 40 vigor, 20 stam and 30 str, the others are accesory stats. but like, i was around your lvl in that area, maybe even lower. and i dont get 1 shotted or 2 shotted? Try rebirth and another build
Nerevar Mar 9, 2022 @ 6:31am
40 vigor isnt good. 60 is softcap. you need the hp otherwise certain attacks can outright kill you sadly.

that beeing i cannot agree with tc. the only thing i found absolutly stupid was moghs bleed spam. but that isnt because of the boss but bleed beeing busted and building up way too fast currently. once its nerfed he should be fine too.

but endgame areas are balanced. you also survive attacks just fine granted you have 50+ vigor.
the enemies in haligthree are all super fair aside the poisen centpide kings but these also appear elsewhere. and this is the only regular enemy i personally found a bit over the top. they are a bit too aggresive and fast for thier size and hp. plus they can teleport. devs went a little too far on these guys. but the rest? totally fine.

id say the opposite the game needs rebalanceing to be harder at the end game. i got away with not leveling vigor until atlus plateau. The only area thats annoying end game is haligtree where everything will 1 or 2 shot and then malenia is just impossible, it took like an hr and half

Can you tell me why rock sling is good? its abysmall trash compared to pebble: it takes twice as long to cast than pebble so mana/damage ratio is much worse. It does more damage than pebble but takes twice long to cast and has 3times more mana per cast.

Ive yet to understand the spells in this game.. :(

It deals physical damage, stuns enemies easily if you hit head, gets bonus dmg from meteorite staff (one of the best staffs till late-late game with S int scaling by default) and has longer range than pebble.
With meteorite staff, pebble is just slightly more efficient (~5%) than rock sling fp/dmg wise.

I thought it was trash until I've tested it properly. It's a good spell actually.
