ELDEN RING
More people have beaten Radahn than Rykard..?
That's crazy to me, Rykard was one of the easiest bosses in this game thanks to the special weapon that you can just spam.

People likely just havent found him yet. He is pretty hidden.

Likewise, Radahn is one of the easiest bosses in the game thanks to the summons that you can just spam.

You don't have to attack Radahn at all yourself and can spend the entire battle on horseback avoiding him.

Spam summons? I summoned the people I could once and they died within 3 or 4 hits and I ended up having to fight the boss 1v1 anyway lol.
you can resummon

The summon signs are only in finite supply. you cant 100 to 0 Radahn with only summons.
I don't even know how to get to the volcano area lmao, help.

YES YOU CAN - That is literally how I beat him.

The reason people think they're limited is because you only see the initial 7 and then no more. This is because those 7 are the ONLY ones you can summon. They have to DIE before you can resummon them, it takes a while for the gold signs to reappear afterwards which means evading the boss on horseback till they do, and their signs will reappear in ANOTHER location usually near you to the side of the hill. You can quite literally 100 to 0 Radahn with only summons. It's been done.

And then the summon signs respawn a few seconds later and you can summon them again.

That's the point of that fight. The summons go in, get killed, get summoned again, go in again, get killed again, repeat. You have to resummon them like 5-6 times each before you down him. You did the fight wrong and it made it harder on you.
Weird but oh well, glad I beat him first try the "hard" way I guess.
Also seconding (or fifthing) that I didn't want to join the Volcano Manor. After the whole incident with Diallos's childhood Lanya being found murdered. And I'm like, "Yeah. Let's avenge her."

Went upstairs, fought the red phantom. Down the hall, talk to "please get dat spear". And refused to join constantly.

Some guy in one of the other posts said that you don't have to join, but he never came back with the answer. And I normally don't look across the internet on a game I'm playing to blind playthrough the what-ifs, but this had me thinking.

Speaking of which, I'm going to find that thread / person.

NO YOU CANT. When a summon sign has been used it does not appear in the same location, Let us take the wolfman for example, hes got the summon sign on the left when you go into the arena, and one up on the hill, i dont know if there is a third, but i know for a fact that once a summon sign a set location has been used it will not reappear in the same spot. meaning the summons are Finite.
What i mean with 100-0 Radahn is you just running around endlessly summoning without attacking Radahn yourself. You cant do that, they are not strong enough and the summons are not infinite.
Is this even surprising? Radahn is before Rykard. Dont need to join a group to face rykard.

I beat Rykard before Radahn mainly cuz Caelid sucked and I wanted to avoid it lol.

...Who is Rykard?
Praetor Rykard is the lord of the Volcano Manor on Mt Gelmir. He is ruthless justiciar who commands a company of inquisitors. Reviled for his serpentine demeanor.

The volcano, Mt. Gelmir, lies in the west of the Altus Plateau. The realm of the Erdtree. It was the stage of the most appalling battle in the Shattering. Rykard has committed the grave sin of blasphemy, marking himself as an enemy never to be forgiven.

Nah, he's the boss of the lava level.

YES YOU CAN - READ BETTER because I already said they don't respawn in the same location. The gold summon signs respawn elsewhere on the battlefield. They are the SAME people. Blaidd, Alexander, Lionel, and the rest. They do not get "used up", they simply rotate positions throughout the fight to force you to keep moving between them and not camping one spot. I quite literally summoned "wolfman" Blaidd six times throughout the fight.

What I mean with 100-0 Radahn is that I -DID- run around endlessly summoning without attacking Radahn myself. They are not strong, but they chip away at him the entire battle.

I NEVER RAN OUT OF SUMMONS EVEN AFTER SUMMONING EACH CHARACTER MULTIPLE TIMES!

Funny, i tried doing this but after a while the battlefield was dark with no summon signs. And i cant find a video where they do this.
I might remember wrong, i killed him like 20 hours of gametime ago. But from what i remember i ran out of summons by the end of the fight, i scrambled around to see if there were anymore but everything was dark. i went back and forth, up and down the hill, even to the edges of the arena. Nothing.

In any case. Sort of lame to not at least fight alongside the summons in my opinion.

Perfectly normal. It takes time for them to show up and you have to keep running around away from the boss, especially after phase 2 because they all die even faster and you spend more time with no summons up. BE PATIENT. I'm telling you that I literally did it myself, I did not have enough Vigor to even take a single hit from him in melee so I didn't get anywhere near him and spent the entire battle riding my horse playing general.

Me neither, and I've been trying because it would be so much easier to just prove it to you people than repeating myself over and over again in multiple topics. Best I have found of anyone even attempting this sort of strategy is one where the guy summons everyone three times while occasionally shooting the boss with arrow magic.

That happened several times in my fight as well. That's normal. It takes time for the signs to reappear and I spent a lot of time just riding around on the horse avoiding the boss.

The summons can do him all their own because they will occasionally stagger him and when his stance is broken they do much more damage to him. If you couldn't find summons then you must have not had all the summons in the first place as there are 7 total. If you were getting Seek Champion messages then you hadn't met some or pursued their quests.

There's a giant hill in the middle of the battle for a reason.

I'm confused. Are you proposing to win the boss fight by not fighting the boss?
Pretty sure we were all tired of gimmick bosses after Bed of Chaos but here we are over a decade later.

What a ♥♥♥♥ fight.
