Keeps changing lock-on target
As the title says my lock-on target keeps changing while PVEing in the open world, specially against the tree sentinel in the middle of the fight my camera just lock-on a Cow, Sheep all kinds of wildlife and I lose sight of the tree sentinel and usually get killed. Is there any way to lock-on target only manually? Tried every option in the game...

If not, this must be fixed...

Stop moving your right stick then.

I play with a mouse, not with a controller... I thought that PC gamers were welcome here too...

Moving your mouse while lock on change the enemy, that way you can swap it when you are facing multiple enemies and you want to lock on some specific one. just stop moving your mouse while locking on, you don't need to move your camera anyway.

if you look at another target it will change. You can turn it off in options

Unfortunately you can't (I tried every single option there, there is even a post in reddit for ppl complaining about the same feature)... Its very difficult not to move the mouse while fighting, since I've being playing games that use Move and Aim system similar to Counter Strike since early 90s. Some fights I even don't lock aim at all, it easier for me, however the AWSD move without the lock is pretty what you not expect from a PC Game...

If you try to move backwards while not lock on target you just turn ur back to the enemy... I'm getting used to but is pretty counter intuitive compared to other games... (S moves you back while facing what you see, that is the default).

This may not be what you want to hear but, I've played all the Dark Souls games with kb+m and I never once used lock-on target. Aside from this being a console-centric feature such as auto-aim which seems to compensate for the lack of precise control the player has over both the camera and character with a game controller during intense action, it has also resulted in difficulty in the past (DS3 - King of the Storm phase).

Have you tried playing the game without lock-on at all? This works perfectly for me. I've seen comments about this before & auto-centring camera and I just don't get the complaints.

How do you move backwards while blocking without the lock on? Without Lock On when your are trying to move backwards I turn my back to the enemy, is there a option to change the AWSD behave?

That may not be possible @ move backwards while blocking without lock-on. Is that desirable? When I am blocking (eg. with a shield), I always face towards the enemy. If I want to move backward, it is usually to avoid attacks or gain distance, so I do that with a sprint backwards or roll away from the enemy, before aiming in their direction again and if I want, blocking.

Necro a discussion is bad.
After lockon to a Target you can no longer move the camera, moving the camera Switch targets.
