Does the Taunter's Tongue even works?

So can you actually really be invaded while being solo, with this item? I keep trying but after several hours still nothing, zero invades. What are your experience?

Depends on the location. It definitely works, you might need to use it in an area where a lot of people would be, ie along the main story path. big roads, next to big areas, etc. If you weren't aware, you can use the L1 button on your controller (if you're using one, it's the block button) on the map to show which Sites of Grace have what kinds of multiplayer options. Red circle means hostile options.

Yeah I've tried this, but still - nothing.

sorry man, idk what to tell you. You might poke around in the mulutiplayer settings in the settings menu. You can add me if you like and we can try to fight each other, just to see if it works.

Same, couldn't get it to work either. I can invade others with consumable items, I get summoned as blue or trough signs, tounters tongue on other had, nothing, zero reaction.

try to use it just south-east of gatefront ruins in the fields

Are you using the other item aswell? the one that allows you to see coop signs? It only takes 30 seconds for me to find an invader

There's only a handful of players doing invasions. There's no reward, and fighting 1v3 is not exactly fun.

If you've leveled up to about 140 or so gotta wait for all the slowpokes who think 60/70 is the super epic meta sweet spot. I went from having no issues with multiplayer to dead multiplayer just from leveling :[

If it’s like previous games, you can’t be invaded if you’ve killed the boss of the area. Though, I’m not sure which bosses count for what. Like does Margit count for all of the starting area?

That's not it either, since I haven't kill Margit yet. Any other ideas? :/

What level are you? Every area has a common level for invasions, but invasions didn't really start popping off for me until the 90-120 range. Under that I never saw a single invader.

That could be a reason, because I'm lvl 25, but other players seem to be invaded a lot on similiar lvl as mine.
