Using summons means cheesing the game!

I've been around Elden Ring YouTubers and Streamers lately and I'm really irritated and disgusted with what I'm seeing in the community right now. People are using overpowered summons and other cheese builds left and right, simplifying the fights to a point where they aren't challeging at all anymore.

I demand that summons in Elden Ring are nerfed immediately and in the meantime people need to stop using them. You're not playing this game the way its meant to be played if you are cheesing boss fights. Stop it already.

The good thing at the freedom is you can play like you please. Every soul's game encourage a extremely custom playstyle.

If you have to use summons to complete the game, you're a casual lacking the skill to beat the bosses the way they're meant to be beaten.

I don't understand why somebody would approve of giving people the chance to basically bypass every bit of challenge the game has to offer.

Overall, I feel this game has several balancing issues. Bosses oneshot you but you can also completely cheese and beat team with certain tools.

Just because something is in the game, it doesn't mean that using it reflects the way the game is meant to be played. Bugs and glitches are also in the game and obviously using them is NOT intended.

but I do agree that some summons are op, especially the mimic tear, I once let it solo a boss and it killed the boss without having me involved in the fight at all.

What the ♥♥♥♥ am I even reading? Spirit ashes have been shown off since the TGA trailer, meaning that From clearly considers them as a "worthy" way to play the game. Plus I feel that several late game bosses are balanced around using them (even though this might just be my gut feeling).
Game mechanics are different than bugs or glitches, man.

Most people would agree that facing and overcoming a challenge is an integral part of the Souls experience, but many would succumb to the temptation and use cheese tactics for hard bosses, if they are offered by the game. That's why this kind of stuff needs to be removed immediately.

And you are? Amagine thinking so much of yourself to think the only right way to play is your way. "oh, I need to play this game in the most unnecessarily difficult way so I can brag about it on the internet but if other people are cheesing their way to victory, how am I suppose to brag?! devs fix!!! my braggin points are gone!"

For real tho... why do you care how people are winning? People will always find ways to make an unfair situation fairer. That includes cheesing things (not cheating). People claiming this game requires solely skill are just too lost upon their own ego. You literally just need to be patient and wait for attack opportunities and learn patterns. Unless you are a speedrunner, then you do have skill.

How do you know they weren’t designed to be battled using summons? Maybe not using them is unbalanced and they included that option for those who want to take that on.

Do you genuinely think FromSoft, after spending over a decade now making how many games they have, is unaware of how strong the ashes were before release? They've EXPLICITLY said in interviews and the like that they're in the game to allow people to approach the game with whatever amount of difficulty the player may want.

It's absolutely intentional and none of your business how other people decide to make their way through the game. If we were talking about PVP content, maybe you'd have a point. But we're not. It's PVE. And if it wasn't this, you'd be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about magic or ashes or a weapon that's too strong or they're wearing too much armor or they roll too much. People like you just want to dictate to everyone else what's the "right" way to play the game when there isn't one.
