Shared Stash for all character?
Is there a way to have a shared stash? i know about trading with another person of course, but i strongly feel this game could benefit from a shared stash

This thread in a nutshell:

"Hey, can we have a shared stash for our characters?"

"No, each character is meant to get its own items! The developer's intentions on this were clear!"

"But we can already trade items between characters via a friend, so how can that be true?"

"It's not the same thing because it's more of an effort! You have to, like.. drop an item on the floor.. and then someone has to pick it up!"

"Seems weird that only people with friends who own the game can do this. Can't we just have a shared stash to even the playing field?"

"No, each character is meant to get its own items! The developer's intentions on this were clear!"

(rinse, repeat)

Also, I love how some people are determined to protect you from yourself. "Nooo.. you'll ruin the fun of your later runs! I know this because I am the authority on what your concept of fun is!"

Why? This isn't an mmo. Would just break the game

NO.

No, that defeats the point of the game. You can always trade though.
why would it break the game for example, im playing with a astrologer full glass canon build right? and i cant use 94 % of the gear in the whole game, i pretty much change gear twice in the whole game and im full of amazing items, that are not right for my build, why would i have to go and kill this boss or that poison cave to get some talisman, that i already got!

Because subsequent playthroughs are pointless and you'd never get to experience the game as intended again?

The problem is pvp. In dark souls 3 you would exclusively get players who have traded end game gear to a low level character so they can min-max stomp on all of the new players who have literally nothing. Of course what I just mentioned is not addressing what you said, but having an easily accessible storage between characters would only make the problem more widespread due to not needing another player or another steam account with the game to trade with. Considering that in this game you can kinda just skip to the end and get whatever OP equipment that you want, a storage system probably wouldn't even affect this games online play at all, but it will likely never happen.

"Would break the game"

Takes a single friend to "break the game" then

The game scales for each additional player. Even still it's looked down upon. Moot point.

At least for that you have to make a conscious decision to go way out of your way to get gear. Let the people who want to have actual replay value enjoy the game. You said it yourself, the avenue to get what you want already exists
Why would it be a thing then why make the items dropeable and pickeable for another character, if that was not the purpose of it? is not like is an exploit, besides why would it make other playtrough irrelevant? it sure doesnt have that effect ine very other action rpg that ever existed, why would it dent the experience on this one?

It's strange to me. I'm surprised they ever caved in on being able to trade / discard doesn't just destroy the item.

That's not what he meant. He was explaining that a friend can help you trade gear between your characters, thus making that particular argument against shared storage a bit silly.

Counterpoint: It already exists by your logic, so asking for changes is a "moot point"

I'm not talking about coop

I'm talking about trading

You all defend the inability for solo players to share gear between characters as intended balance design, meanwhile two accounts can do that all day

Don't act surprised when you realise cheat engine is as popular as ever

Except that requires a friend who owns the game, so why not put everyone on equal footing functionally with shared storage? Take an extra second to think things through before hitting “post comments”.
