I'd ask you to invest in a mirror, then repeat that question.
You're essentially asking fans (both long-time and new to the franchise) to defend a subjective preference with objective arguments. You *must* know that such a demand is farcically irrational on its face.
...that you "know everything you need to know about the popularity of the game" based on negative reactions from a community you have deliberately stirred up with an obvious troll post says less about the game, community, or anything else than it does about your own understanding of how arguments function.
And your jab at the "maturity" of the community--in the face of your contributions to this thread--is one more reason to be thankful irony isn't a physical force.
The weight of it would be crushing you at this point, were it otherwise.
You are given a purpose in the first 10 minutes.
And then survival is generally a good idea.
The OP doesn't have a mouse icon by his name and this forum has gotten loads of poorly researched drama bait topics from non-consumers, trolls, and elitists alike.
So the OP's post is low effort, not fleshed out, and easy to misinterpret. Similar to posting on the Tekken message board, "All you do is fight people. What's the point?" or Minecraft or Valheim, "All you do is survive. Why?"
