Dragonkin Soldier
On horseback or on foot? Absolutely nothing is working. I have no idea what to do beyond summoning and I'd rather do this solo. Ashes of war don't help either.

Considering both location of the Dragonkin Soldier doesn't allowed Horse Battle. The fight is manageable aside the one at a Certain Lake which you need to raise up Platforms.
Ashes of War does help but that's for you to figure it out.
There are Ashes Summon so use it if you don't want to Summon Online Help.

I found it easier to beat him on foot since I could dodge more consistantly than on horseback.

I imagine you've missed one then. Because the one in Siofra River you can fight on horseback.

I think it's easier on horseback. Try to bait his lunge by staying a little ways away from him, and then attack from behind him.

You could do the same thing on foot if you wanted to, but I recommend going to horseback for at least the second half, since he starts doing an attack where he slams his fist through the ground. It has different timing than his other attacks, and hits a large AoE when he pulls his fist out. It's not worth spending time dodging it, so just jump on Torrent and slice his ankles.

Wait there's a 3rd one?! I must have missed it.

I don't blame you, he needs a teleporter to get to. And the teleporter in question is a little out of the way.
Okay so I just beat it entirely on foot, aside from the rush up to it on horse back and a jump off to get in an air attack. That said I'm gonna leave this here because I'm interested in people's opinions. I found messages left in the game suggesting horseback is the way to go but I just don't think that's right. When I committed to fighting on foot it got better, I just had to get enough hits in to get my bleeds off and use bloody slash whenever I could and he went down soon enough.

Yeah and guarded by two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dweller archers, the kind with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ massive laser arrows. Thank god for the stake of marika on the otherside but because of that, I really really didn't want to leave and do something else just because I didn't want to deal with those damn archers again.

While definitely a tough boss, honestly I didn't find him all THAT bad. Phase 1 is pretty straight forward. Stick close, bite his ankles and try to dodge so that you're always behind him to some degree (helps with the AoE). Also note that his forward lunge has a follow up where he pulls his hand back, so try to be on his opposite side when he does that.

For phase 2, it's more of the same but with the risk of frostbite. Don't be afraid to back off a bit and let him engage with his leaping ranged attack before going in to abuse the opening. Using in and out tactics helps keep you focused on what he's doing so you don't get blindsided.

Not sure if we fought the same version of this guy, but the same strategies should apply.
I know it's not SUPER detailed but hope this helps.

Yeah, kind of got a bit a off topic there. I ended up fighting him on foot. His attacks are pretty easily telegraphed but I find dodging on Torrent to be annoying, which is a problem with his wider sweeps.

mimic+10 makes everything easy.. besides that, dragonkin soldier is bugged. stand in his left kneecap and he will just keep backpeddeling until he does an attack where he needs to stand up... u should be able to shave off 70% of his health without moving lul

i did it on horse, i was really underleveled and everything 1 shot me, so it was easier on horse to me. Took some time....

I did another one on foot (no horse possible), he did less damage and so i could survive missing the shockwave roll timings.

I think it's build-dependent. I fought that same boss twice, since I restarted the game to go a different build. When I was using bleed dagger, fighting him on foot seemed a lot better, probably because I was going for bleed procs and they're easier if I can combo. When I fought him with a greatsword, though, I stayed on horseback, since my damage was about the same anyway.
