There is no forced pvp in the game. Glovewort does not respawn, same as the other upgrade mats, you can get all bells necessary without doing pvp.
Except the maxlvl one obviously, those are just straight limited per playthrough
Yes, I am aware of that as well which is why I mentioned Varre's Side Quest which is the "quickest one" apparently. Its also the reason why I am hunting for Ghost Gloveworts cause I'm preparing to open the gate of the Capital city so I can get into the other route you are mentioning.
Much like with smithing stones, there are ball bearings you can give the merchant in Roundtable Hold to sell them. There's 3 for each type of Glovewort (Grave and Ghost), so in the end she'll sell 1-9 of each. The ones you need to reach ashes level 10 (the GREAT Gloveworts) ARE limited though.
Can you not buy those even after beating the game?
I bet like all FROMSOFT games they will eventually do patches that makes everything farmable somewhat easily except for top upgrade stuff which will be like 1% or something.
the godric types are not bad either, at the same level they perform better than some elite spirits, but the headless spearman is just the best, very good defensive AND offensive, plus he can porten himself
All were worth the trouble.
