ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

(Solved) Are Ghost Glovewort very limited in quantity in the Elden Ring World?
First of, no I don't want to do the PVP side quest from Varre in order to get into a later world map which allows you to get the bells to buy the Ghost Clovewort.

But here's what I noticed, I started playing Elden Ring at launch day, and right after farming a few Ghost Gloveworts in Siofra River and a few Catacombs - I haven't seen any of them respawn, so my new Summon spirits are trapped to no upgrades at all.

Is this a bug? Or is it really this way? I'm pretty sure my Elden Ring is updated too to the lastest release.

I just cannot farm the Ghost Gloveworts for days now on locations I know they were there.

EDIT:
Thanks everyone for the replies, after pushing through the game further I was able to get the bells that lets me buy the Ghost Glovewort 1-6.

All were worth the trouble.

This is just an anecdote but personally farming in this game is severely cursed.

I think that gloveworts don't respawn 'cause they're an upgrade material. you need to dive more dungeons to get more

There's a lot of it imo.

They're limited, frustratingly so (using juuust the right summon for a fight feels great). Spend Glovewort wisely.

You dont need to do Varres quest in order to get to Mohgs Palace...you can literally just walk to the teleporter in the consecrated snowfields.
There is no forced pvp in the game. Glovewort does not respawn, same as the other upgrade mats, you can get all bells necessary without doing pvp.
Except the maxlvl one obviously, those are just straight limited per playthrough

Yes, I am aware of that as well which is why I mentioned Varre's Side Quest which is the "quickest one" apparently. Its also the reason why I am hunting for Ghost Gloveworts cause I'm preparing to open the gate of the Capital city so I can get into the other route you are mentioning.

Not nearly as limited/annoying as somber smithing stones 7-9

Can buy the early ones provided you have found the bell.
Necrilem Mar 6, 2022 @ 7:51am
You can buy all upgrade material infinitely with the corresponding bells except Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone (mouthful of a name btw), Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, Great Grave Glovewort and Great Ghost Glovewort, those are limited per playthrough

Much like with smithing stones, there are ball bearings you can give the merchant in Roundtable Hold to sell them. There's 3 for each type of Glovewort (Grave and Ghost), so in the end she'll sell 1-9 of each. The ones you need to reach ashes level 10 (the GREAT Gloveworts) ARE limited though.

Can you not buy those even after beating the game?

I bet like all FROMSOFT games they will eventually do patches that makes everything farmable somewhat easily except for top upgrade stuff which will be like 1% or something.
Leto Mar 6, 2022 @ 8:02am
the upgrade materials for the spirits are quite limited, but there are items that allow you to buy them later, like forge stones, so in the beginning concentrate on 1-2 spirits, one of the best is e.g. the headless knight, he is only surpassed by the mimic, but that's only if you have good equipment, which he "takes over".

the godric types are not bad either, at the same level they perform better than some elite spirits, but the headless spearman is just the best, very good defensive AND offensive, plus he can porten himself
