@From Soft: Please remove crouch while on horseback

As the title suggests it happens way too often that i get sudden dismounts from my horse while not taking damage. (while playing with controller)
This is due to the fact that crouch (L3) is not disabled when riding on horseback.
Sometimes (at the least convenient times) L3 gets pressed by accident when making sudden directional changes in the heat of combat and it instantly dismounts you.

To say the least, this is highly annoying.
Would be nice if it could be disabled in the options as not all controllers have extra buttons

Easier said than done... It's very easy to prest L3 by accident while on the horse and it sucks suddenly jumping off the horse in the middle of battle. Every YouTuber and Twitch Streamer I've watched has struggled with this and complained about it. They really need to give you the option to disable it if you want to in the settings menu.

They could just have you use the same input you use to summon to dismount as well.

It's not so much how hard as it is in the middle of battle, you can easily twitch your thumb down by accident.

Yep. Proof This game is meant to be played with mouse+kb.

I remove the binding on long battles.

You can use the ring to both mount and dismount with KB/Mouse. If you can't with a controller then that's a controller problem.
I actually use crouch to dismount so I can pre-change my item away from the summon ring and have flask ready while riding just in case.

L3 is a bad bind for crouch.

there's nowhere to put it cause of the new jump button. they even hid the 2h button. really they should put some work into the controller binds.


i setup this xbox elite controller. made this crazy layout in steam input.

It's designed to replace the need to claw-grip a controller. the problem is you can't really do that. xbox controllers should be clawed on the right, not clawed on the left. that means you can only use the 2 back buttons on the left. what's different:

L3: unbound
B: crouch
Y: 2H RH weapon
hold Y (30ms): 2H LH weapon
P1: run/roll
P2: --
P3: action
P4: hold and ABXY becomes the d-pad
P3+P4: ABXY becomes Y+d-pad

I can't figure out a way to keep run, action, and the d-pad shift to only use P3 and P4 so I can claw the right side and still change it to d-pad or Y+d-pad on the fly. for that reason i still think playstation controller wins here as you can claw both sides. but if that problem can be solved, elite will become king and only need one-hand to claw it.

Love too, can you suggest a good Neuro surgeon as I have Neuro muscular issues after surviving the IED 10 yrs ago. Gamer come in many forms and not all of us have perfect muscular control.
