is a half ass co op really that much to ask for?
like okay sure make it so people can invade us but my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god its so much work getting your friends in your game every time you want to do something, How is this a thing what a ♥♥♥♥ game design it is,
Lets make a cool ass open world with co op. But basically co op thats 5 mins at a time .... like ????????

well it works for me every time, you sure that you all use the mp password properly?
not having any problems with playing with my friends...

either your connection is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or someone is not having his pw set up properly.

summoning randoms is a pain in the ass, yes. but the password system is working just fine.

They don't mean the connectivity issues that sometimes occur - I believe it's more of the game's inconvenient treatment of co-op by design, which albeit has an ideal purpose it's still tedious to work through.

Game is like this since Demons and will not change, since this model is actually the superior one. You guys just are used to bad games, that's it.

I forgot what I was going to say. I just read this and got distracted. Every thread always has some edge lord balancing his self worth on his skill at dark souls.

totally fine with that, i'm happy that we got open world coop, even after defeating the main bosses. having some fun with friends roaming one chunk of the map :D

no seriously, you even can craft the coop items now...stop complaining. :D

It's not a co-op game, Fromsoft has never made co-op games. It's a single-player RPG with minor multiplayer elements. You could have told that with a very brief examination of the games they've made in the past and spent your money on a game that lets you have a 2-4 person circlejerk 24/7 instead.

Or.. they could just have read what the Elden Ring developers had to say about it. For example, here are some of their Elden Ring quotes below.

Coop in this game and the series in general was always meant for random-summons, they are actively promoting it with the system.

Organised coop is there, but it is not the focus.

the co-op in this game is meant to be the equivalent of a car stopping to give you a ride to get gas when you break down.

I had to laugh hard at that. Nothing is more immersive than seeing "disconnected from the host" or vanishing partners after a boss. THis coop turns the game from an open world .. into a .. yeah just one souls lvl just as usual.. nothing changed except the huge map.

"You can immerse yourself fully into only one small section of the game, waste countless of hours summoning people at a position nobody is now." We crafted a very big map full with dungeons with bosses to kill, dont worry you can summon your partner but only for like 1 minute since the dungeon was just a hallway with a boss."

No they aren't. Nothing he said is incorrect. Taking a moment to find out what kind of games souls games were before would have informed people on the specific implementation. The dev is giving an accurate description of how Co-op functions.

This is kinda how i felt. Like I thought I would get to ride a fkn horse and horseback boss battle with some fkn phantom bro like a boss.

WHY would you summon anyone in a field other than to fight the tree bosses? No one wants to run across the small but long sections of ground on foot. DAFUQ!

im still enjoying the game since it's gotten WAY past the 2 hour mark I can't refund it. so.
Gotta. make. progress. DS3 was more fun. ngl. Some the bosses are cool, but it's actually a level, summon, or die kinda deal with some.
Until I look up video proof of some of these bosses being solo'd under certain levels. I won't believe it possible.
