Horse/Torrent stagger/usage

Attempting the General and boy does it highlight some problems/potential for your mount.

The BIGGEST thing so far the stagger/poise. Your horse/Torrent seriously needs to have better poise. One hit or at most two hits and your stuck in a unnecessarily long stagger.

I would love to see an update including some customization or even an ability to level up your mount with runes.

ANYTHING that can give your mount more use than simply that of a taxi...

Being able to use a shield on torrent would be godsend, though probably impossible to implement. Imagine being able to PvP in jousting contests.

Is the horse more useful when you have a really long sword or something like that? Using a katana from horseback just gets my ass kicked by absolutely everything I meet.

I use Katana because of my build.

But it's like jesus. You get knocked off and that's it. 6 second stagger to death.

Wish I could upgrade it or put some armor that in turn reduces speed or something.

I feel like someone actually demanding horse armour in a game is ironic.

But yes. I agree. Also would make sense to use a polearm on the horse and use it like a lance.

Getting up next to enemies in order to slice them with the sword is really awkward.

yeah you shouldnt be a vulnerable as you are on Torrent, he does need a buff or something. Upgrading Torrent would help because its so easy to get staggered or knocked off by little attacks. I love Torrent but I feel way to vulnerable riding him near enemies.
