Game feels unfinished
Disclaimer, I loved the game, I'm one trophy away from platinum (need to get the bad ending now).

But still, the last few zones felt somewhat unfinished. Obviously not as bad as something like Lost Izalith, but lots of repeated enemies, previous bosses as regular enemies, vast empty stretches of land, and even a boss gauntlet with nothing in-between.

Which is a shame because the first zones are absolutely incredible. I wonder if review scores would've been slightly lower if reviewers had time to reach the end content.

IMO Bloodborne is still the quintessential FROM experience, with Sekiro close behind. Elden Ring had the potential to be the GOAT but it was stretched way too thin

Caelid feels about as unfinished as Lost Izalith

enemy variety is a bit low , and they reuse the boss many times

Game generally suffers from empty world

there's also like 80 something bosses so I think we can forgive them a little to use like 10 bosses

The notion that the last areas are the last to be made is pretty funny. For example the Undead Asylum was the last area to be made during Dark Souls development.

What % of those bosses are just reused versions of other bosses or normal enemies?

If only all the game was good as the goddrick castle and margit boss.

It doesn't feel nearly as dense or interesting as other From games but I could get past that for the unique art and world. Find myself replaying and wanting to put it down because the performance feels like a chore (somehow worse than it was at launch??)

Do you actually think Lost Izalith is complete?

I think the point of bosses showing up as normal enemies is to showcase how strong your character is getting and how strong the creatures in the new(er) areas are. I personally like seeing these bosses that were 'big' fights showing back up in late-game areas.

Let's make an incredibly high guess and say half of them are some sort of reuse or different/upgraded version of previous bosses, 40 is still more than the all time high of 32 bosses from ds2

Lol That's not what I'm saying. What I am saying is that areas like Miquella's Haligtree or Elphael are more polished that Caelid for example, which probably was one the last areas to be made or the least amount of work. Game development doesn't follow the same sequence as the game.

It's way more than half, there's like 15 unique bosses.

I never said it did. I include Caelid on my critique.
