Catacombs are tedious and boring.

Does anyone else feel like the later catacombs and hero graves are extremely boring and tedious? They're basically just the same gimmick repeated with a different enemy set, later turning bosses into normal enemies. If I wasn't so addicted to the game I'd probably just end up avoiding them as half the time they're not even worth the effort of going through.

Anyone else feel this? Or am I just needing to git gud.

I still do them and generally enjoy them but was disappointing to see some of the stuff reused so much.

All the catacombs / mines / etc feel the same. It's almost like a single player MMO.

I like them a lot, they remind me of chalice dungeons from bloodborne and I loved doing those. I'm much less bothered by the reused bosses because of this, but I still get why people are disappointed

I agree somewhat. I don't feel like they're tedious yet but they certainly lack in variety in both visuals and mechanics.
Why does a catacomb in Limgrave look the same as one in Caelia for example. I would love it if they were more visually instincts and had more distinct mechanics for each region.

I like them, i usually save them for when i'm having a hard time on a boss so i can use them to take my frustration out on.

I like them because they're things I can basically just check off, when I only really have like an hour or so, for a short session. They also come with a boss at the end, which makes doing them pretty rewarding for interesting loot. I don't even do most of the ones I come across during my normal exploration sessions, as I just mark it down for later. And unlike the botw mini dungeons, these ones are still fun and decently risky, without being too gimmicky, despite the multiboss battles. Those are still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and require you to bring either your a game, summons, or cheese.

Open world was a mistake. It's like Skyrim all over again with the copypasted caves and catacombs.
