How can I have multiple saves with the same character?

I want to try out different dragon breath incantations before committing into one. And how do you duplicate saves outside of the game? Thanks for the help!

Hey, you could probably find the save location of your current character, copy it from there and paste it somewhere on your desktop. Then log in to the game, get one of the incantations and if you don't like it, exit the game at copy-paste rewrite your save file with the older one from your desktop, guess that's one way to do it.

Simpy "Windows + R" to open up the Run program and type "%appdata%" from there navigate to EldenRing folder and copy everything there.

C:\Users\yourwindowsaccountname\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing\randomnumber\

Do not copy any of the save files as lons as the game is running

Yes, but make sure to copy the whole folder (the numbers folder)

I wouldn not recommend doing it. Basic info is saved on fromsoft servers and it checks your character info when you loading.

Every RPG has multiple save points. I dont get why FS is so opposed to this.

Because you are supposed to learn from mistakes, not change them because you went the wrong route. I personally wouldnt copy paste my saves anyways. Part of the game experience is learning, not rolling back just because you bought the wrong spell. Also the game allows you to respec if you get far enough in the game

This was always the option in any souls game

On the one side yeah, on the other probably unplugging network cable before playing and placing file in another directory after the fact would be safer.

I agree with this, but no harm is done especially if you're only meant to play offline,

Because dragon breath incantations takes dragon heart. It hard to kill a dragon for me. That's why.
