Overleveled from just regular play?
I never farmed, killed maybe ~20% of the open world enemies at best, and visited locations when I ran into them. I have played about 55 hours so far

Aside from 5ish brick walls (3 on the critical path), I am just steamrolling everything in my path. I know I have a lot of hours in souls and souls-likes, but relative to the other games, this is highly unusual.

Is anyone else having the same or similar problem (if you can consider a problem)?

I think I average less brick walls than that per Souls game, so... yeah, I don't think you're having a problem. You did some hard areas first, then you went into some easy areas. You aren't "overleveled" until you're beating the final boss on your first try.

not really a "problem" :lunar2019grinningpig:

possibility :
while the game wants you to go a certain path with certain mobs - you are free to go anywhere and overlevel and ultimately steamroll alot until you get to the harder areas (health-pool vs damage )

im pretty overleveled because i explored a ton of places before i killed the first real boss :lunar2019piginablanket:

This happens if you do the zones out of order mostly, like going east after the first zone instead of north.

Can you truly be over levelled in any of these games tho? Truly?

Also yes it is easy I found too. Once cleared start, and weeping peninsula, rounded out godrick find out you get a reward item gives you +5 all stats

Literally laughed out loud. Most op reward ever seen in one of these games and makes me wonder how much crazier it gets in the north.

that's interesting, tell me more about your delusions.

Yes i experienced the same thing, and i did fairly little of the side content (besides mines, Ranni's quest and a few other things). If you consider it annoying you could consider changing to an inferior build (i assume they balanced it around builds that are quite bad or balanced it around people who don't upgrade their weapons). I did go to some fairly high level zones early on so i dunno if that caused it.

Are you talking about his great rune or did I miss something?

Because at least that costs a Rune Arc to use, even though it feels like those last forever they do go away eventually.

yea they clearly didn't know how to balance an open world, it is very easy to accidentally end up 1 shotting or 2 shotting bosses. I'm fine with it as they tend to be optional nothing bosses but still.

there isn't much you can do about it. i saw this in the review i watched also

Sure, why not? I did do some content "out of order". But what that should mean is that the content I was apparently "underleveled" for would be obscenely difficult. Don't get me wrong, it took a while. But it felt par for the course compared to the other games

Aside from this gripe, I love the game. I will be doing a replay in the future. But even then, I'd have to go out of my way to weaken myself

Well I think you could do like weeping peninsula first which you would technically be "underleveled" for but would be 100% doable, probably even not much of a difficulty. Then you would come back and slaughter limgrave. You'd be like 10 or levels or more past the actual expected level for the area.

I don't think people are waltzing into Caelid or Siofra at level 11 and doing well there though.

And? Easy to farm relatively speaking and I’ve yet have it disappear, think only on death like being hollowed.

Like do math for levels that gives you literally a +40 all around boost to your character for these games, that’s HUGE even if limited.

Same here, my character is lvl 75 and I'm just destroying everyone, the game is telling me that I should move on already and stop exploring optional mini dungeons.

Aye it only vanishes when you die, and you can farm them from invading. That said it is a bit much considering invaders can't use the arcs. It's bad enough that invaders get half the estus and 3v1, now we also have to cope with them having that huge boost as well so they can use way better gear than us.

All in all a lot of Elden Ring features feel like they want to phase out PvP by slowly making it less and less viable until nobody is doing it anyway.

I'm not far into the game but I feel like going south first seems right. Would have been a nothing experience if I came back later on like I see most people doing.

I have at numerous points refrained from leveling after getting enough stats to be able to 1 hand Godricks Axe and some endurance because of this problem. Only leveling up some vigor if i came across a boss who could one-shot me. Cause that's really no fun.

Have combined lost millions of runes because of this without really caring. Made my own little game on how many i can get before i lose 'em all. Record is at the moment 800K :steamsad:
