possibility :
while the game wants you to go a certain path with certain mobs - you are free to go anywhere and overlevel and ultimately steamroll alot until you get to the harder areas (health-pool vs damage )
im pretty overleveled because i explored a ton of places before i killed the first real boss
Also yes it is easy I found too. Once cleared start, and weeping peninsula, rounded out godrick find out you get a reward item gives you +5 all stats
Literally laughed out loud. Most op reward ever seen in one of these games and makes me wonder how much crazier it gets in the north.
Are you talking about his great rune or did I miss something?
Because at least that costs a Rune Arc to use, even though it feels like those last forever they do go away eventually.
there isn't much you can do about it. i saw this in the review i watched also
Aside from this gripe, I love the game. I will be doing a replay in the future. But even then, I'd have to go out of my way to weaken myself
Well I think you could do like weeping peninsula first which you would technically be "underleveled" for but would be 100% doable, probably even not much of a difficulty. Then you would come back and slaughter limgrave. You'd be like 10 or levels or more past the actual expected level for the area.
I don't think people are waltzing into Caelid or Siofra at level 11 and doing well there though.
Like do math for levels that gives you literally a +40 all around boost to your character for these games, that’s HUGE even if limited.
Aye it only vanishes when you die, and you can farm them from invading. That said it is a bit much considering invaders can't use the arcs. It's bad enough that invaders get half the estus and 3v1, now we also have to cope with them having that huge boost as well so they can use way better gear than us.
All in all a lot of Elden Ring features feel like they want to phase out PvP by slowly making it less and less viable until nobody is doing it anyway.
I think I average less brick walls than that per Souls game, so... yeah, I don't think you're having a problem. You did some hard areas first, then you went into some easy areas. You aren't "overleveled" until you're beating the final boss on your first try.
Have combined lost millions of runes because of this without really caring. Made my own little game on how many i can get before i lose 'em all. Record is at the moment 800K
