Game doesn't close when quitting

Anyone else having this bizarre issue where upon quitting the game, it gets sent into background processes so you then have to open task manager to end the task?

Like, I love the game but it won't let me leave!

It takes about 30 seconds for my game to fully close. I get the music playing while looking at my desktop, then a black screen for a few seconds, then the game closes. I don't have to open task manager or anything, but still slightly annoying.

This happened to me for the first time today. Exited out to main menu and froze when connecting to server, then finally just crashed out to desktop.

same, it take like 30 sec when I alt f4 from the menu, because they just can't add quit to desktop still.

yeah happens to me pretty much everytime since a few days ago, I think either just be really patient and wait 2 mins for it to fully close or just use task manager again

Yeah, so far I'm 3 for 3 on this game just refusing to quit as well.

Same, close the game then it hard locks one monitor until I force close it.

control + alt + suppr then task manager and kill the process seems to do the trick (no more error on windows log and the game exit right away) but it's pretty annoying to do it every time....

Been happening to me since the game launched.

I suspect this has played a role in the game failing to cloud safe for some users.

I can't seem to STOP from the Steam library page. I can select it, but the game continues to run. And I don't see the executable in Task Manager.

I've had to exit Steam to force Exit Now.

I think it has something to do with cloud saves. Just disable that ♥♥♥♥.
