Why are gold signs in the game?

I don't see the point of gold signs anymore when everytime one pops up it's always "unable to summon"

When they appear theres a bunch of people trying to summon the same person. You're too slow. Just wait for a new one to appear and rush over there.

If you are still struggling there is this item called mimic tear which is a summon of yourself.

I've been doing that the whole time lol it's at +9

Summoning wont help I never even realised til this game that it increases hp, I only summon for ganks. If thats the case and your still struggling, do the first phase without the mimic and only use it on the second phase. I have finished the game and that boss you are referring to is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ manly because of that multi slash move. Just run and wait until he jumps backwards and attack then. I say summon the mimic for the second phase because he will tank damage and the more hp he has the better.

Also if you really need to, find the final upgrade for the mimic as every upgrade will help. Good luck.

Spirit summons don't increase enemy HP. Only summoning via summon sign (other player or NPC) does that,

Yeah i know i meant the traditional summoning system as in players or npcs. I never realised til now that it increased hp of bosses, don't know why people complain about other players summoning now considering the boss has more hp which means it could be harder if the summon dies

i'm trying to light the 4 flames looking for the 4th one but in ordenia

Yeah that area is annoying when i did it i didnt know there was a bonfire at the entrance until after so get that first (its right underneath the icon on the map). Explore prior to starting the purple pad to find which ones to light. You only need to light three despite them being four and one is on the floor near the entrance. If you get the one on the floor and dont get the one on the outskirt of the town you wont have to deal with archers in the open and it will just be a case of killing them on the way to the lighting the bonfires.
