Different settings- same fps?
Hi, This is my spec.

Gtx 1080 ti
i5 7600 cpu 3,50ghz
16gb ram

I know, it's not a very good but there is a weird something.

Looking far away I get 40-43fps in the open world. / Max settings 2K
When I change to low settings I still get same fps and when I change the screen to 800x600 resolution for test, I still get the same fps.

What is the reason of this? It's like changing the settings doesn't do anything. Ok maybe there is no difference between Low and Max but why is it still the same when I use 800x600?

Edit: Also the other thing I would like to add is I have two screens. One is 1080p and the other is 2K. i'm getting the same fps on both of them.

Edit 16.10.2022
I have changed my cpu/mobo to i9 10850k/z490 tomahawk and I getting 60 fps on 2k right now.
But if there are too many effects in the field, there is still fps drop(45fps).

Could be a CPU bottleneck, 7th gen I5s aren't exactly cutting edge anymore, it's more likey to be Elden Ring's borked DX12 engine.

Your CPU actually doesn't even meet the games minimum requirements.

Borderless window or fullscreen? Try setting the desktop to 800x600 and then the game. Might even need to restart game on change of settings.

Also there's Geforce experience... Don't install that crap.

Feel your problem.
Frames are about the same with every setting except 4K.
Although there's no different between 4K Max and 4K Low - still about 30-60 FPS, while 1080p Max-Low results in ~55-60 with Dips/Stutter.

Then set desktop to lower resolution... and then play game at lower resolution.

Of course, it's best for you to find the cause of your fullscreen problem.

Yes I tried, I matched it with my desktop and still same. I really don't understand it.

the game is not optimized well, in fact it's probably one of the worst i've seen in quite some time.

i love this game, 110 hours and counting, but it does not run well on pc, constant frame rate issues and crashes have plagued my playthrough, and many others.

personally i have no hopes from will fix these issues, really hoping someone talented in the community does some magic for us.

Same here. I own a mid range system with a 2070RTX card and the game stutters the same on maximum settings as it does on medium or high.

I have 144hz monitor and game have problem fulscreen 144hz, if i set monitor in win on 60hz is bettet, but only pistures. Still low fps and stutter. For people 60+hz monitor use borderles setting and no fulscreen.

i7 7700k 2080ti 16GB of sys RAM

40-57 outdoors regardless of game settings, resolution or driver settings. I am out of ideas myself as last patch didn't do anything at all for me.

Ditto here. I know my rig isn't top of the line, but whether it's the lowest settings or the highest settings, 800x600 or 1920x1080... it all performs the same with regular stutters and fps dips (stays between 35-59fps, regardless of being indoors or outdoors).

It's a shame since Sekiro ran buttery smooth on this same machine (as does Doom Eternal, Horizon Zero Dawn, and other newer games with the settings cranked up... no AA though).
