Are there enough keys to unlock all locations or no?

Never ran out of stonesword keys and i've opened every location I've seen, so yes I assume so.

You just buy every one you see for sale?

After few fog doors that you couldn't open because you didn't buy keys earlier pretty much makes you buy every stoneswordk key you see

Good point. I die a lot so no runes to spare. At some point I’ll have to save, buy a lot and then backtrack to open them all. Which will suck.

I tend to just forget the doors that I couldn't open before. Also have a bad habit of wiping every marker off the map

Alright, cool. I'm trying to play this game without guides, but if there was key triage I'd definitely look up the best spots to use them

They use the stonesword key as a reward for almost every hidden room, jumping challenge, or miniboss fight. And about half the vendors sell 4 of them. You should have plenty. ive opened every door I've seen and bought maybe 1 key, and ive still got 5 to spare. The only reason you might need to buy them is if you dont explore much.
