The game can work with the PS5 controller.
But some players have been affected with an issue preventing their controllers (PS3/4/5, Xbox 360/One etc.) from functioning. And there doesn't seem to be a clear solution to it.
Some players have tried unplugging their keyboards / mice / headsets / microphones / USB devices after launching the game, then plugging in / connecting their gamepad first, then replugging everything else.
Others have tried to disable settings in the Device Manager to remove excess HIDs (Human Interface Devices).
Others have to adjust controller settings with the Steam controller configuration to find what works for them.
But it's largely inconsistent between users. And affected users don't seem to have controller issues in other games (except maybe Sekiro), but more specifically Elden Ring. This is meant to reassure you to not buy a new gamepad, but you do have some troubleshooting ahead of you if you want to play before the company acknowledges the issue.
Same here, im just confused this is like a sony company right?
