You gotta break them, then they take a crapload of dmg. Don't worry about their hp bar at the start. Just get 10 or so good hits in and they should slowly begin to crack.
So, what now?
its size has to be reduced with a patch imo. too big for this small room. rest is fair game when size is reduced.
its worth defeating tough. you get a bell bearing for it and some high level upgrade stones.
but the boss isnt only weak to magic. i meleed it down just fine. blocking works really well againist most of its moves if you have a good shield. roomwide gravity attack is difficult to dodge as the timeing of the roll needs to be absolutly precise to avoid it. but its dmg isnt lethal and you can heal up afterwards.
the dungeon itself is fine. you just get tossed there via a super rare teleport chest trap.
also wtf happend to mimic chests ? why remove em...
instead we get these giant creepy ass hands.
he talks about starfall beast. different case than what you mean.
I feel you. Quite a few other places at least have a clear run back to the boss or a respawn point nearby.
But this one, you have to deal with two fast enemies. And even if you finish off the first one, you may occasionally get a projectile or two in your back while climbing up the ladder. And then to top it off, it almost feels like the boss is breathing at you as you walk into that narrow room.
I think there is one Ash of War that can enchant your weapon to magic (Stormveil Castle hidden path). And if you were using a slashing weapon or piercing weapon, you might be in for a rough time based on the loading screen tips, e.g. strike vs. hardened enemies.
If you didn't. I agree I hate this cave. Have fun looking forward to facing lots of those annoying as centipede mobs later on.
This. Became a lot easier when I switched over to the Mace.
The centipede guys will go down with one or two guard counter combos. If you run from them, you'll get spammed with needles. Close the distance.
Learned it hard way.
