1. Armored feet, so you have to hit his wrists to do real damage, which is still not much cause he's an hp sponge.
2. Firebreath to punish you for daring to go after his wrists.
3. Three magical spheres that he casts almost every time you hit his feet. Each sphere fires off a channeled hyper beam that lasts for a bit.
4. Best trick is forcing you to take a very long horseride to get to a deadly jumping puzzle (no stake of Marika) which is itself very lengthy. .
Then the eternal city ones have the really fair fire breath attacks.
Also any gank bosses like gargoyles or duo crucible knights. Complete garbage.
That duo fight is almost really cool. I love the way they rotate turns (mostly) to try and melee you. But it's ruined by the complete BS poison thing. If they adjusted their ai to try and fight tricker and weave their attacks together well without the poison thing, that'd be a much better gank fight, tbh.
But the poison attack thing is just pure garbage
Don't forget that they'll also continue attacking if you parry any attack in their combo aside from the first one. Being punished for parrying is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
You haven't fought many optional bosses then that are objectively worse, because they give you ample time to take out misbegotten warrior first.
You get the Misbegotten Warrior down to 75% and the Crucible Knight spawns in, runs at you at the same speed as MW, and kills you instantly because you dodged MW's attack, but not CK's. Worst part is that you can't save the fight for later. If you trigger certain events, the fight gets replaced with Radahn, and you lose out on a legendary armament.
First of all, false. He spawns in when the dude is at 50% HP. I'll link a video to prove it.
Second of all, he takes so much damage, depending on your weapon you could just stunlock him and finish it off with a riposte/critical strike, he's about 1/2 hits away from death at that point unless you literally did not upgrade at all, his HP is laughable. Don't go on the defensive until he's dead, be hyper aggressive. If you dodge MW while CK is up, you're allowing yourself to be ganked.

I literally posted a video where you can see it's 50% lol. He even idles a little bit so there's no delay either.
