[FIXED]Game save fails to load Stormhill Evergaol after 1.02.1 patch.

Hey guys so over a few days I've been playing nearly 9hrs without any crashes while in game. Long story short. I just found Stormhill Evergaol by taking a shortcut of jumping up a cliff using Torrent from the lower left side of Limgrave. Usually I fast travel back to a site of grace before quitting my game but I was out of time in a rush to leave my game. I didn't find the new site of grace yet so I just did the Exit Save game thing from the Menu. Everything seemed ok. But today when I went to load up my Stormhill Evergaol Save the game crashes. Note if I try loading up other characters saves, the game starts fine.

My crash happens on 1.02.1. If you are worried about having your game corrupted fast travel back to a site of grace before quitting Stormhill Evergaol's discovery or at least try to locate the site of grace in that region.

I really don't want to start over again. Is there a way for me to get support? There must be a crash file somewhere? Has anyone else figured out how to fix game loading related crashes?

I don't know if the crash is repeatable but I provided some steps below on how I got there.

Starting out in Limgrave I went straight up exploring up towards Stormgate, ran through there and went into Stormhill Shack and collected the Jellyfish spirit (already got the wolf spirit and bell back at the Church of Elleh). I touched at least 3 sites of grace to unlock Torrent. I fast traveled back to Limgrave and went to explore the far left bottom side of the map where the Stormfoot Catacombs are. Over a little to the right of there is shortcut where you find a large stone ruin you can climb with Torrent and jump on a cliff to reach to Stormhill Evergaol. Anyways I explored the immediate area looking for a Site of Grace which I didn't have time to locate so I Save Quit my game without a problem. Today I try to load up Storehill Evergaol and the loading screen gets 15% in but then immediately hangs for 7 seconds and then crashes.

Verify your game files possibly. There was an update recently.

That fixed for me. Was reading another thread about the patch breaking peoples game saves. This seams to be the fix.

I fixed it by using Steam -> Elden Ring -> Gear Icon -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of game files...
