Like I said, I feel like the balance is wrong if colossal weapons are reduced to spamming jump atk. Also staggers don't matter much with bosses because the bosses recover really fast + your weapon recover time is long. Some bosses I ended up just do jump atk since my wp isnt fast enough to even hit them after I stagger them.
Some bosses just, yknow, don't get staggered at all. Things like Crucible Knights I'm quite certain are immune since I'm using colossal warhammer (highest poise dmg wp) and they just don't flinch til death lol.
Greatmace isn't a colossal weapon though. The medium big bois are in a good spot. It's the big big bois that are weak.
Colossal weapons are stuffs that weight something like, 15+ unit.
not sure if they are immune to it just that they have really fast regen of it... its like your stam bar and regens back to full if you leave it alone. If you just spam jump attacks on some of the heftier guys you wont' ever break their stance simply because its slow enough that they regen their stance
my final build is planned to be a colossal weapon on my main and a fist weapon on my off hand
Nope. That's DS3. Greatmace is Warhammer class. Colossal weapons/sword is a different class. It's written right under their name. They have different recovery frames and atk speed value.
Tell your friend to fight a Crucible Knight with UGS and then redo it with a Mace/Greatmace. See which one has faster clear time
